Here was that chance -- and we grabbed it.

We bought and set up one of these expensive and primitive systems in a mall on Long Island, New York. How did we do? At Christmas time, we outdrew Santa Claus in pictures taken. Sure, we made more money than we thought we would but, just as important, we had fun doing it and a genuine feeling of satisfaction in making a product people were happy with.

In early 1977, my Dad and I probably made the most important business decision of our lives. That decision was to manufacture the CASI Computer Portrait System. Making the decision was one thing, but getting it done was something else. Somehow we begged, borrowed and mortgaged everything to raise the money to get started.

Finally there was enough money to research, engineer and manufacture the first CASI System. A system that would not only produce a picture, but also allow you to put a name on the picture and then transfer the whole thing onto a T-shirt or poster. As they say, “The rest is history”. We have gone on to become the world’s leading source of personalized gift software, transfer supplies and presses and photo novelties with customers in over 40 countries.

I firmly believe that our ability to “give the public what they want” is one of the reasons our customers continue to prosper with our products. We realized back in 1977 that personalized products make money. Since the introduction of our first system 25 years ago, it has been our goal to research and develop software and products that bring a smile to the customer’s face while at the same time provide an income for our customers . By offering products that can be produced "while you wait", we also take into consideration that in this day and age people want things NOW!

It is this philosophy that has earned CASI the reputation of being “The World Leader in Personalized Gifts Since 1977”.

Very truly yours,
